How does New Era make money when they are saving their sellers thousands of dollars in commissions?

We look to build long-term relationships with our clients, as we like to say we are in the relationship business, not the commission business. We find once our clients are satisfied with the job we did selling their home, they will likely ask us to represent them on their next purchase where we will receive our 2.5% (not mandatory to buy with us). Besides our extensive advertising, we rely a lot on word of mouth. When we provide you with exceptional service you are more likely to refer us to your friends and family. This, in turn, rewards us with more business and there is nothing we cherish more than referrals from satisfied clients.
